In December, 8 year old Brody was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After tests and a biopsy it was determined that his brain tumor was a very aggressive tumor called diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG or DMG)
Brody started radiation at St. Jude on January 4th. He will receive 30 treatments of daily radiation and is currently (1/3 of the way finished)!
He has the best attitude and is still making his family laugh daily with his witty sense of humor. Since this journey began 1 month ago, Brody is quick to tell his family to “toughen up” any time he sees His parents getting emotional.
While the news of the tumor and results of his biopsy are not the news anyone was hoping for, research to better understand this terrible disease is improving every year. We have been in touch with researchers and other DIPG families across the country and some children are outperforming previous standards and our prayer is Brody will do the same. We know Brody is a fighter and his strong will and positive attitude will help him kick cancer’s butt.
100% of proceeds from these tees will be donated to Brody’s family for medical bills and research.
